Invisalign can help correct:

  • Crooked Teeth
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Crossbite
  • Gaps in Teeth

However, it should be noted that only some and not all patients with the above conditions can be treated using Invisalign clear aligners since it is totally dependent on the severity and complexity of their individual cases.

Here are some interesting things about Invisalign treatment you may not know:

  • The first step in the process to getting Invisalign aligners involves a consultation with your dental specialist in Dubai who will evaluate your smile and come up with a step-by-step process to give you as close to a perfect smile as possible. It is during this step that the dentist will also assess if Invisalign is a viable option for you as there are some severe cases where Invisalign will not be applicable.
  • Before getting Invisalign Aligners a virtual 3D plan known as a (ClinCheck© treatment plan) is done to help show you how your teeth will look at every stage of your dental transformation. This is invaluable to help you with your decision on having Invisalign or not.
  • Invisalign is made from a special medical-grade thermoplastic known as SmartTrack® that is FDA approved.
  • It is recommended to wear Invisalign for at least 22 hours a day.
  • Invisalign are removable which is great to do whilst eating to avoid possible staining. Conventional braces cannot be removed.
  • Switching from traditional braces to Invisalign is possible but a consultation with your dentist is paramount as some more severe dental cases cannot be rectified using Invisalign.
  • On average it takes Invisalign around 12 to 18 months to complete the alignment process. During this time, it is advisable to see your dentist for a check-up approximately every 6 weeks.
  • You should refrain from smoking whilst using Invisalign as it will cause discoloration to the aligners.
  • Since there are no wires in this brace type there is no need to visit your doctor for adjustments thereby reducing the number of doctor visits needed.
  • Some patients usually need retainers after Invisalign treatment in order to keep their teeth from shifting back to their pre-Invisalign positions.
  • Invisalign aligners are replaced approximately every 2 weeks although this time will be longer where more complex movements are required.
  • It is usually recommended to drink water and cold liquids when wearing Invisalign.
  • Invisalign treatment options are available for just the top or just the bottom teeth – you would, however, need to consult your dentist for such customized requirements.
  • You can drink beverages such as tea and coffee whilst wearing Invisalign as long as they are not too hot. Having said this since Invisalign aligners are removable so it is wiser to remove them, drink your beverage and then clean well before replacing your aligners.
